Tucson, Arizona native Annabelle Nieman is a talented young professional with a passion for riding that began when she was swung onto the back of a horse for the first time at age 3. Acquiring her first pony a few years later, Annabelle initially started out in the hunter/jumper world, but her curiosity and thirst for new challenges led her to discover the sport of eventing when she was 13. Eager to explore this thrilling new discipline, she began jumping logs on the trail and experimenting with dressage, eventually participating in her first event a year later. It was during her high school years that Annabelle began to take eventing more seriously, setting her sights on a future as a top-level professional rider.

Annabelle purchased a young Canadian Warmblood mare named JLo, and together the pair began to move up the levels. After graduating from high school in 2019, Annabelle made the bold decision to move to California to pursue her dreams. During her time there, she had the opportunity to work alongside several top professionals including Tamie and Kaylawna Smith, accompanying them to the East Coast in 2021. Despite her horse being out of commission with an injury at the time, Annabelle's dedication and hard work shone through as she continued to immerse herself in the sport. Upon returning home, Annabelle focused on rehabilitating JLo, and successfully brought her back up through the Preliminary level. Eager to further her knowledge and skills in the equestrian field, she also spent a winter working for Buck Davidson, who provided her with invaluable insights and experiences.

In 2023 Annabelle established her own business, AWN Eventing, where she has several client horses in training as well as a small collection of sale horses. With a long-term goal of representing the United States on the international stage and establishing a sales business specializing in imports, Annabelle's ambition and determination continue to drive her towards
success. Currently head rider and assistant for Laura DeCesari Dressage, Annabelle displays her versatility and expertise in various equestrian disciplines. While JLo will soon be transitioning to a career in dressage, Annabelle is already searching for her next top event horse. Her short-term aspirations include applying for the U25 program, showcasing her talent and determination to reach new heights in the world of eventing.

high-quality performance gear that exudes confidence and elegance in the arena.
